Done Travelling

...for real, this time.

Got back from revisiting Dallas, Texas on Wed. Headed back out there on Saturday for four days.

Still writing up the different segments of the bav travel show '05...will post them soon.

After getting back from my travels the first time (last week), I started reloading music onto my computer. The old machine blew up a couple of months ago, and so started the laborous process of reloading the collection onto the replacement machine.

Current status: 13.12 GB

I hadn't finished all the music from last time, but was at around 25GB. Already half-way to that point and no end in sight. Thankfully, the replacement machine has a DVD burner, so will be archiving everything onto DVD just in case. Is a pain in the ass to do this, so don't want to have to put in everything one audio CD at a time again if I can avoid it.

As a welcome home present, had the drain in my floor (my room is in a basement, remember....a flood-prone basement) back up with sewer water the night I came home. Busy re-arranging things so I can throw out the carpeting that got hit and get rid of the ever-so-pleasant smell of sewer. pfrank, if you get this I'm gonna have to reschedule our get-together planned for tomorrow as I want to give my room a day or two to air out.

Carpets are done and outside, mopping to ensue in a couple of minutes. On the other hand, having to move bookcases around means I have to take all my books off them which means I'm going to start weeding out my book collection for items to donate to the library.

Job hunt is not faring that well, but did just get a decent lead about possibly working for one of my roomies. Or at least with. Will see how that pans out.

That's about it at the moment. Planning on attending trivia this Monday at Conor O'Neals w/ kate_a_boyd & co. then heading to the Necto around 10.30-11pm. You hear that, corporis_ossa? I'll be there with bells on.

Let the minimalization continue.
